Circuit for dynamic microphones, condenser microphone compressors

This is the circuit of the compressor, which can be used for dynamic microphones, condenser microphones, and electric guitar pickup. This circuit does not produce good sound output, but it has very stable amplitude/volume. The circuit design of this compressor is unique because it uses base current control to manipulate gain. The first and second transistors are a common preamplifier, but the bias of the first transistor controls the output signal to obtain a negative feedback. The third transistor controls the DC voltage level at the junction of 1M resistor and the upper limit of 10uF, providing the bias current for the first transistor. The control mechanism is also unique, outputting in each half cycle when the full DC capacitor level exceeds the base forward bias discharge. The gain control method reduces the base bias current of the first transistor, causing distortion near its cut-off point, which may be unacceptable, especially for some music/singers, but is acceptable for public addresses. Applying for an electric guitar, this compressor can be a good choice because its distortion characteristics provide a unique effect, and the stable overshoot and undershoot amplitudes provide a "wow" like effect from old recording.  diode
