Syfer's new surface-mount chip capacitors, designed for military applications

Syfer Technology recently launched a series of surface-mount chip capacitors, which feature traditional tin/lead terminations and are primarily targeted at applications exempt from the EU RoHS directive, including military/aerospace, space, and automotive products. diode

Certain special applications are currently not subject to the EU RoHS directive. Although the feasibility of using tin-based products is still under investigation, Syfer believes that some specific applications will continue to use tin/lead materials.

The tin/lead terminals provided by the company contain no more than 10% lead, including various multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs). The capacitance ranges from 0.45pF to 82μF, with operating voltages between 16Vdc and 10kVdc, suitable for low or high voltage/current applications. These MLCC capacitors feature standard silver or FlexiCap base coat layers, with terminals made of nickel or tin/lead materials.
