A pH sensor is a commonly used chemical sensor that can measure the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. Traditional pH sensors typically use glass electrodes or reference electrode plasma sensing elements, but they have disadvantages such as large size, high manufacturing cost, and high power consumption. In order to achieve smaller size, low power consumption, and high integration of pH sensors, Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistors (ISFETs) are widely used in the design of pH sensors. This article will introduce the design of an ISFET integrated with a low-power pH sensor.

1、 Background introduction

ISFET is a Transistors based on MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor), which induces changes in the ion concentration of a solution by altering the interface charge between the solid electrolyte and the liquid. ISFETs are widely used in chemical sensors due to their advantages of small size, low manufacturing cost, and low power consumption.
