According to their different structures and working methods, they can be divided into the following types:

1. NPN type unipolar transistor: An NPN type unipolar transistor is composed of two N-type semiconductor layers sandwiching a P-type semiconductor layer. Its working principle is based on the positive voltage bias of the P-type region and the negative voltage bias of the N-type region, forming a PNP structure. When the base is forward biased, electrons flow from the emitter to the base and then to the collector, forming a current amplification effect.

2. PNP type unipolar transistor: Unlike NPN type unipolar transistor, PNP type unipolar transistor is composed of two P-type semiconductor layers sandwiching an N-type semiconductor layer. Its working principle is similar to that of an NPN type unipolar transistor, but the current direction is opposite.

4、 Advantages:

1. Low noise: Unipolar transistor have low noise characteristics and are suitable for amplifying weak signals.

2. Low power consumption: Monopolar transistors have relatively low power consumption and can provide efficient energy conversion.

3. Good high-frequency characteristics: Monopolar transistors have good performance at high frequencies and are suitable for high-frequency amplification.

4. High reliability: Unipolar transistorrs are relatively stable and reliable during operation due to the absence of PN junctions.
