Classification of Crystal Diodes

Crystal diodes are divided into rectifier diodes, detector diodes, varactor diodes, voltage regulator diodes, switching diodes, light-emitting diodes, etc. according to their applications. Crystal diodes have a PN junction, so they have unidirectional conductivity. By utilizing this feature, alternating current can be converted into pulsating direct current, and the required audio signal can be extracted from high-frequency signals. According to their structure, crystal diodes are divided into three types: electrical contact type, surface contact type, and planar contact type.
