Electrostatic diode, also known as ESD electrostatic protector, is an overvoltage and anti-static protection component designed for I/O port protection in high-speed data transmission applications. ESD protective devices are used to prevent sensitive circuits in electronic devices from being affected by ESD (electrostatic discharge). It can provide very low capacitance and has excellent transmission line pulse (TLP) testing and IEC6100-4-2 testing capabilities, especially after multiple sampling numbers of up to 1000, thereby improving the protection of sensitive electronic components.

Functions of electrostatic diode products: ESD electrostatic diode is connected in parallel to the circuit. When the circuit works normally, it is in the cut-off state (High impedance), which does not affect the normal operation of the circuit. When the circuit has abnormal overvoltage and reaches its breakdown voltage, it quickly changes from the High impedance to the low resistance state, providing a low impedance conduction path for the instantaneous current, and clamping the abnormal high voltage within a safety level, so as to protect the protected IC or circuit; When the abnormal overvoltage disappears, it returns to the high resistance state and the circuit works normally.
