Why Schottky diodes are more energy-efficient than ordinary diodes

Schottky diodes and ordinary diodes are used in electronic circuits, Schottky diodes will be more energy-saving.
Some people say that Schottky diodes have lower VF than ordinary diodes, so they are more energy-efficient, which is right, but if you are not a professional, or if you are a new purchasing or business assistant, you may not know why.
Generally speaking, the current produces some functions through a device. for example, energy-saving lamps generate light and heat at the same time, but this heat is not what we want. We want the heat to be as small as possible, preferably without heat (but this is impossible). This is what we usually call the main loss. The same is true of rectifier diodes, which convert alternating current into direct current will also generate heat, which is the main loss of rectifier diodes. The heat generated is related to the internal resistance. The greater the timing internal resistance of the current is, the greater the heat is. But why is the smaller the VF, the less loss? What is the hypothetical loss of Schottky diodes (VF 0.5V) and general diodes (VF 0.7V) passing through 10A current?

As can be seen above, the larger the VF, the greater the loss caused by the flow through the diode, because the Schottky diode has a lower voltage drop (VF) and lower loss, which is why Schottky is more energy-efficient than ordinary diodes.
