Dynamic and reset operations

Enable or disable the output driver for the eNBL pin. The nNBL must be low to enable output. NNBL does not affect the operation of serial interface logic. Please note that there is an internal dropdown list in nENBL.

When the driver is at a high level, the reset pin resets the internal logic. The indexer is reset to the primary state. When reset is activated, all inputs are ignored. Note that RESET has an internal dropdown menu. It also provides internal power on reset, so there is no need to drive reset when powered on.  diode

protection circuit

DRV8805 has sufficient protection to prevent undervoltage, overcurrent, and overheating events.

Overcurrent protection (OCP)

The analog current limiting circuit on each FET limits the current passing through the FET by removing the gate drive. If the duration of the simulated current limit exceeds the tOCP sludge removal time (approximately 3.5 μ s), the driver will be disabled and the nFAULT pin will be driven to a low level. The driver will remain disabled during the retry time (approximately 1.2 milliseconds), and then the fault will be automatically cleared. If the reset pin is activated or the VM is removed and reapplied, the fault will be immediately cleared.

Thermal shutdown (TSD)

If the mold temperature exceeds the safety limit, all output FETs will be disabled and the nFAULT pin will be driven low. Step inputs will be ignored. Once the mold temperature drops to a safe level, the operation will automatically resume.

Undervoltage lockout (UVLO)

If at any time the voltage on the VM pin is below the undervoltage lockout threshold voltage, all circuits in the device will be disabled and the internal logic will be reset. When the VM exceeds the UVLO threshold, the operation will resume.

Equipment Function Mode

Step mode

The SM0 and SM1 pins select the step mode of the converter,  diode
