Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of the industry's first solid tantalum surface mount capacitors with industrial voltage levels up to 75V - T97 and 597D, enhancing the performance of the company's TANTAMOUNT high reliability capacitors and expanding its leading position in the field of high-voltage solid tantalum surface mount capacitors. diode,

For decades, 50V voltage has become the limit of rated voltage in solid tantalum surface mount capacitors. In 2008, Vishay introduced a voltage level of 63V, breaking this performance barrier. Now, Vishay has taken this patented technology a step further and released the industry's first 75V solid tantalum surface mount capacitor.

By achieving a voltage level of 75V and a capacity of 10 μ F in the "R" external dimensions, the T97 and 597D series have achieved high reliability in circuits with applied voltages ranging from 25V to 40V, reaching performance levels that could only be achieved using through-hole technology in the past. diode

The capacitors with conformal coating have winding joints and adopt a dual anode structure to ensure the lowest ESR among similar products. The 597D capacitor is optimized for industrial automation and control systems, while the T97 device is designed for safety critical applications in fields such as defense and aerospace, including DC-DC converters and power distribution in weapons and radar systems, aviation and aerospace electronic equipment. The T97 series provides designers with many parameter levels beyond MIL standards, combining the flexibility and convenience of commercial products with the reliability required for demanding applications.

The T97 series offers high reliability screening options, including Weibull grading and surge current testing options that comply with MIL-PRF-55365 specifications. Unlike commercial grade capacitors, these devices have the required reliability and surge filtering options necessary to ensure performance in high reliability applications, while also maintaining the maximum capacitance voltage product, which is a coefficient of merit that measures how much energy a capacitor can store and helps designers choose the best capacitor for their application. diode

As members of Vishay's TANTAMOUNT tantalum capacitor family, the T97 and 597D series have a capacitance range of 10 μ F to 1500 μ F and a voltage range of 4V to 75V, with 9 different external dimensions including a "V" external dimension with a thickness of only 2mm. The device has an ultra-low ESR of 0.015 Ω at+25 ℃ and 100kHz, with a ripple current of up to 4.1A. The capacitor can operate within a temperature range of -55 ℃ to+85 ℃, and can reach a temperature of+125 ℃ under voltage derating conditions.

The new 75V capacitor is now available for samples and has achieved mass production. The supply cycle for bulk orders is eight to ten weeks.
