Toshiba PIN/varactor diodes use the industry's smallest SC2 package

Toshiba has launched the JDP2S08SC PIN diode and JDV2S22SC varactor diode for mobile phones and other portable devices. They adopt the industry’s smallest SC2 package. Compared with Toshiba’s current smallest fSC package with dimensions of 1.0×0.6×0.48mm, the new package reduces the area by approximately 33% and the thickness by about 62%.

The JDP2S08SC PIN diode and JDV2S22SC varactor diode use a bottom-lead package and are lead-free, suitable for high-density packages of 0.62mm×0.32mm×0.30mm (standard). At the same time, they maintain the high-frequency characteristics of traditional fSC packaged products.

The JDP2S08SC PIN diode has a typical total capacitance of 0.25pF at 1V, 1MHz, and a typical series resistance of 1.0Ω at 10mA, 100MHz. The JDV2S22SC varactor diode has a typical total capacitance of 3.38pF at 1V, 1MHz, and a typical capacitance ratio of 1.85Ω at 1V/3V.diode
