The EP5358xUI (X=L or H) is a 500mA PowerSOC. The EP5358xUI integrates MOSFET switching, control, compensation, and operates in an advanced 2.5mm x 2.25mm magnetic micro QFN package. Magnetic integration technology achieves minimal solution size, low output ripple, reduced component count, and high reliability while maintaining high efficiency. As a complete solution, it enables a compact design of less than 15mm². The EP5358xUI features a 3-pin VID for easy selection of output voltage settings, operating within an optimized range to cover typical VOUT configurations. The VID pin allows dynamic voltage adjustment during rapid operation. The EP5358LUI also offers the option to use an external voltage divider. Overview

The EP5358xUI requires only two small MLCC capacitors to deliver a complete DC-DC converter solution. The device integrates a MOSFET switch, PWM controller gate driver, compensation, and inductor into a compact 3mm x 3mm x 1.1mm micro QFN package. With advanced packaging design and high-level integration, it delivers extremely low output ripple and noise. The EP5358xUI employs voltage-mode control for high noise immunity and load matching with advanced ≤90nm load. The 3-pin VID allows users to select output voltage settings from 81 options. The EP5358xUI features two VID output voltage ranges. The EP5358HUI offers VOUT settings from 1.8V to 3.3V, while the EP5358LUI provides VID settings ranging from 0.8V to 1.5V. It also includes an external resistor voltage divider option for output settings between 0.6V and VIN-0.25V. The EP5358xUI delivers the highest power density among any 500mA DC-DC converter solutions in the industry. This revolutionary integration is driven by Enpirion's proprietary power MOSFET technology. The advanced MOSFET switch, implemented in deep sub-micron CMOS, provides high switching frequency with minimal switching losses, enabling high levels of integration.
