Introduction to the selection and replacement of rectifier diodes

1) For rectifier diodes in series power circuits, the maximum rectification, current, and reverse operating voltage of the rectifier diode should be selected to meet the requirements. 2) For switch type voltage regulator circuits, fast recovery rectifier diodes with high operating frequency and short reverse recovery should be selected. And ordinary rectifier diodes cannot be used. FR series, PFR series, and MUR series fast recovery diodes can be selected. 3) For low-voltage rectifier circuits, rectifier diodes with low forward voltage drop should be selected. 4) For rectifier circuits below 5A, ordinary rectifier diodes can be used. For example, used in half bridge, full bridge rectifier circuits, power circuits for tape recorders, and general low-voltage rectifier circuits, 1N4000 and 1N5200 series silicon plastic encapsulated rectifier diodes can be selected. Alternatively, 2CZ series rectifier diodes can be used. 5) The substitution principle of rectifier diodes: ① A diode with parameters that are basically the same as those of the original diode can be used for substitution. ② A diode with a high rectified current can be replaced with a diode with a low rectified current, but conversely, it cannot be replaced. ③ A diode with a high reverse operating voltage can be replaced with a diode with a low reverse voltage, but it is impossible to replace the opposite. ④ A diode with a high operating frequency can be replaced with a diode with a low operating frequency, but it cannot be replaced. The main parameters of commonly used rectifier diodes are shown in Table 12 and Table 13 for reference when selecting.
