How to choose a transistor

The transistor is a very widely used electronic component, such as in integrated circuits, the transistor is indispensable, so don't look at the transistor is a small device, the role is very important. So, how do you know how to choose the transistor model? If you are interested, let's take a look at it below.

VCBO: The reverse breakdown voltage from the collector to the base of the transistor.

VCEO: The reverse breakdown voltage from the collector of a transistor to the emitter.

VEBO: Reverse breakdown voltage from the emitter of the transistor to the base.

The safety voltage parameter of the triode, the voltage of each electrode exceeds the safety value, and there is a possibility of breakdown damage.

IC: The maximum current that the transistor collector is allowed to pass through, that is, the maximum operating current of the transistor.

PC: The maximum power of the transistor when it is operating.

h(FE)β: the magnification of the transistor when the transistor is working in the amplified state, ICE=IBE*β,

HIGH-FREQUENCY DIODE: A transistor WITH A WORKING FREQUENCY GREATER THAN 3MHZ.

Low power diode: A triode with a PC less than 1W.

Summary of key points of selection:

1. The breakdown voltage VCBO must be greater than the peak voltage in the application circuit, otherwise it may lead to voltage breakdown.

2. The IC with large working current of collector current must be greater than the peak current in the application circuit, otherwise it may lead to excessive current breakdown.

3. The working rate in the application circuit must be less than the maximum power PC when the triode is working, otherwise it is easy to cause power damage (high temperature damage).
