What issues should be paid attention to when using zener diodes well

Although the voltage stabilizing circuit composed of voltage stabilizing diodes is not very stable and the output current is small, it has the advantages of simplicity, economy and practicality, and is therefore widely used. In actual circuits, to use zener diodes well, attention should be paid to the following issues.

1. Pay attention to the difference between general diodes and zener diodes. Many general diodes, especially glass-encapsulated diodees, are similar in appearance and color to zener diodes. If you are not carefully differentiated, you will be used incorrectly.

2. Pay attention to the difference between forward use and reverse use of zener diodes. When a zener diode is used in a forward direction, it is basically the same as when a general diode is used in a forward direction. After positive conduction, the voltage at both ends is basically unchanged, both of which are about 0.7V.

3. Pay attention to the pressure difference between input and output. In normal use, the output voltage of the zener diode regulator circuit is equal to the regulated value at both ends of the zener diodee after reverse breakdown.

4. Regulators are generally not used in parallel. After several zener transistors are connected in parallel, the regulated voltage value will be determined by one (including the voltage value after forward conduction)
