Four applications of TVS Diodee.

(1) the application of TVS diodee in TN power supply system.

The overvoltage caused by artificial operation errors such as lightning overvoltage wave and load switch is easy to invade the electrical and electronic equipment through the power supply line, resulting in electrical and electronic equipment failure, misoperation, and even permanent damage to the equipment, resulting in serious economic losses. By installing surge absorption devices MOV and TVS on the power supply line, two levels of protection are implemented, and common mode and differential mode protection are carried out for L and N lines. The specific method is to install MOV at the front end of the line as the first SPD protection, release most of the lightning current, and install the high-power TVS diodee at the end of the line (the front end of the equipment) as the second stage SPD protection to further weaken the amplitude of the overvoltage wave and reduce the grid voltage to the safe withstand voltage range. It should be noted that the coordination and coordination of voltage and energy should be achieved between MOV and TVS, and the line length between AB should not be less than 5 m, otherwise the line length should be increased or decoupling devices should be installed.

(2) the application of TVS diodee in network signal line.

TVS diodee can be used not only for surge protection of power supply system, but also for surge protection of signal lines. The combination of gas discharge diodee GDT and TVS diodee is used to form a signal surge protector, which is characterized by fast response, small leakage, almost no loss to the signal, and can provide safe and reliable protection for high-speed network lines.

(3) Application of TVS diodee in DC power supply system.

The power supply circuit of an ordinary PC computer, the municipal power AC 220V is reduced to AC 20V by transformer, and then through the modulation rectifier circuit, the output DC 10V DC power supply is connected to the load. By installing a bi-directional transient voltage suppressor TVS1 at the output end of the transformer to absorb the instantaneous impulse current of L and N lines and clamp the circuit voltage at the safe voltage level, TVS1 can protect the transformer back-end rectifier and other circuit components. A unidirectional transient voltage suppressor TVS2 is installed at the output of the DC power supply after the rectifier to protect the DC load from overvoltage and current.

(4) the application of TVS transistor in transistor circuit.

As a current control device, transistor is an important part of electronic integrated circuits, which can be divided into NPN transistors and PNP transistors, which are used in switching circuits, amplifying circuits and voltage stabilizing circuits. In order to protect the transistor circuit from the surge voltage such as ESD/EFT (electrostatic discharge / electrical fast transient burst), TVS1 and TVS2 are added to the input and output of the circuit.
