Rectifier diode selection

Rectifier diode refers to a semiconductor device used to convert alternating current into direct current. Usually it contains a PN junction with two terminals, anode and cathode.

Selection of Rectifier diode:

Rectifier diode are generally planar silicon diodes used in various power supply rectifier circuits.

When selecting a Rectifier diode, the main parameters to consider include its maximum rectifier current, maximum reverse operating current, cutoff frequency, and reverse recovery time.

The Rectifier diode used in ordinary series regulated power supply circuits does not have high requirements for reverse recovery time of cut-off frequency. As long as the maximum rectifier current and maximum reverse working current meet the requirements of the circuit, the rectifier diode can be selected.

The Rectifier diode used in the rectifier circuit and pulse rectifier circuit of the switch regulated power supply should be a rectifier diode with higher operating frequency and shorter reverse recovery time, or a fast recovery diode should be selected. There is also a Schottky Rectifier diode.
