What are the drawbacks to pay attention to when using Schottky diodes?
1、 The breakdown voltage of Schottky diodes at limited contact areas is usually less than 100 V;
2、 Schottky diodes are limited to applications at low current densities (JF<10A/cm2), as shown in the following figure. When the current density JF>10A/cm2, the on state voltage drop sharply increases until breakdown.
