The role and structure of thyristors

One of the most important functions of thyristors is to stabilize voltage and current.

SCR is widely used in electric tools, speed-regulating motors, vacuum cleaners, dimmers, hot-air guns, smart electric pots, curling boards, light wave ovens, motorcycle igniters, stove igniters, anion generators, leakage protection, and solid-state relays. Electrical control circuit surfaces are widely used. A thyristor is an active switching element. It remains in a non-channel state at ordinary times until it is triggered or "ignited" by a small control signal to open it. Once it is ignited, it will remain in channel state even if the trigger signal is withdrawn. To turn it off, you can apply a reverse voltage between its anode and cathode or reduce the current flowing through the thyristor diode to below a certain value.
