How to add a Schottky diode to the circuit board to prevent the positive and negative poles from being reversed

Schottky diode, also known as fast recovery diode, is characterized by fast working speed, large current, small reverse withstand voltage and single conductivity. Z is characterized by extremely short reverse recovery time, so it is mostly used as high-frequency, low-voltage, Flyback diode, maintenance diode and other field junction.

The anti input reverse connection maintenance circuit generally uses the unidirectional conductivity of diodes or MOS transistors, which can achieve:

1. Using the unidirectional conductivity of a diode to achieve anti input voltage reverse connection is a simple and cost-effective circuit, but it will cause some losses because the diode has a voltage drop. SS14 has at least 0.2 voltage drop, but fortunately, the advantage of Schottky diode lies in the lower forward bias voltage, unlike some diodes that have a larger voltage drop. But there is a problem that if the power supply is indeed reversed and the diode conducts, it will directly short-circuit. Therefore, such circuits generally need to add a stable wire in front. If there is no reliable wire, a 0 ohm resistor can be added to replace the stable wire. This way, after the reverse connection, the stable diode or resistor can be replaced. If conditions permit, a self restoring stable wire can be added.
