Precautions for zener diodes in practical circuits

The voltage stabilizing circuit composed of voltage stabilizing diodes, although not very stable and with small output current, has the advantages of simplicity, economy, and practicality, and is therefore widely used. In practical circuits, to use a voltage regulator diode well, the following issues should be noted.

1. Pay attention to the difference between a general diode and a voltage regulator diode. Many general diodes, especially glass encapsulated s, have similar appearance and color to voltage regulator diodes. If not carefully distinguished, they may be used incorrectly.

2. Pay attention to the difference between the forward and reverse use of voltage regulator diodes. When using a voltage regulator diode for forward conduction, it is basically the same as when using a general diodes for forward conduction. After forward conduction, the voltage at both ends remains basically unchanged, both of which are about 0.7V.

3. Pay attention to the pressure difference between input and output. During normal use, the output voltage of the voltage regulator diode voltage regulator circuit is equal to the voltage regulator value at both ends after reverse breakdown of the voltage regulator .

4. Voltage stabilizing s are generally not used in parallel. After several voltage stabilizing s are connected in parallel, the voltage stabilizing value will be determined by the one with * * * low (including the voltage value after forward conduction).
