2. The operating conditions are bad. For the generator set with indirect transmission, because the calculation of the speed ratio is incorrect or the diameter ratio of the two belt discs does not meet the requirements of the speed ratio, the generator operates at high speed for a long time, and the rectifier diodee works at a higher voltage for a long time. Schottky diodes accelerated aging and were damaged prematurely.
3. The measures of lightning protection and overvoltage protection are not effective. At the end of the rectifier device, lightning protection and overvoltage protection devices are installed, even if lightning protection and overvoltage protection devices are set up, but their work is unreliable and Schottky diodes are damaged due to lightning strike or overvoltage.
4. the installation or manufacturing quality of the equipment is not up to standard. Because the generator set is running in a large vibration for a long time, the Schottky diode is also under the interference of the external force of this vibration; at the same time, because the rotational speed of the generator set is high and low, the working voltage of the Schottky diode varies from high to low, which greatly accelerates the aging and damage of the Schottky diode.
5. The specifications and models of Schottky diodes do not match. When replacing the new Schottky diode, the diodees whose working parameters do not meet the requirements are replaced or connected incorrectly, resulting in breakdown damage of the rectifier diodee.
6. The safety margin of Schottky diode is small. The safety margin of overvoltage and overcurrent of Schottky diodes is too small, so that Schottky diodes can not bear the damage caused by the attack of transient peak value of overvoltage or overcurrent in generator excitation circuit.
7. Schottky diodes have been used for too long, and the resistance value is not correct.
